Job Description
Air-tronics Material Processing Systems (MPS) focuses on integrating laser beam delivery systems, motion platforms, and controls into customer solutions. As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and servicing products and prototypes. You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and subject experts to deliver high-quality products that contribute to the overall success of air-tronics Photonics.
Duties:
- Assembling, testing, integrating, aligning, and inspecting MPS products, assemblies, and prototypes
- Monitoring and manipulating the instruments and processes being used to test MPS products, including assembling, calibrating, improving, and performing maintenance on test equipment
- Assisting Engineering in troubleshooting and improving MPS products
- Writing or assisting in the development and review of internal or external manufacturing or service documentation, test plans, and test procedures
- Some travel (<10%) may be required
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in assembling capital equipment; laser/optical assembly and alignment experience preferred
- Proficient in the use of test equipment such as digital voltmeters, lab power supplies, etc.
- High school diploma is required; Associates degree in technical discipline is preferred
- Must be a team player, well-organized, energetic, reliable, timely, and detail-oriented
- Ability and desire to handle work of diverse scope and complexity
- Able to lift items up to 50 pounds
